EXCOM study Visit to Uganda

In February 2024, the African Parliamentary Forum on Population and Development (APFPD) conducted an Executive Committee study visit to Uganda, marking a significant step in strengthening parliamentary leadership on critical population and development issues. The visit brought together legislators from across Africa to exchange knowledge, review progress, and strategize on advancing policies related to health, gender equality, and sustainable development. Uganda was selected as the host country due to its notable achievements in sexual and reproductive health (SRH) services and its commitment to the International Conference on Population and Development (ICPD) Programme of Action.
